What happens when I tap a tag?

Your phone read a small tag in the object and opened the brand’s page in your browser, with no app to download.

The brand put a tag in the object: a sticker, a card, a wristband or a label. When you held your phone near it, the phone read the tag and opened the brand’s Portal, a page in your browser.

What the page shows is up to the brand: music, a video, an event, a ticket, or the story of the product. Some pages ask you to sign up before they show everything.

A tap records that a tap happened, not who you are. Nothing about you is kept until you choose to sign up.
