- DEPARTMNT runs the technology. We keep it working and safe.
- Be fair. Don’t tamper with tags, copy them, or misuse a Portal.
Who These Terms Are With
These terms are between you and DEPARTMNT LABS UK LTD (“DEPARTMNT”), which runs departmnt.io and the technology behind every Portal on it. Each Portal is published by a brand, an artist or a venue (“the brand”). The brand may have its own terms for what it offers, and those apply too.
Using a Portal
- You can open a Portal by tapping a tag. You don’t need an app or an account.
- Some features need an account, which you sign into with a link sent to your email. Keep access to that email secure.
- A brand can change what its tags open, or end a campaign, at any time.
Tickets, Products and Memberships
When you buy something in a Portal, you are buying it from the brand, who is the merchant. Payments are handled by Stripe. Refunds and cancellations follow the brand’s own policy and your legal rights. Deleting your account does not cancel a ticket you have paid for.
Competitions and Draws
Free draws are run as free prize draws. Each one has its own rules, set out in the Portal.
What You Must Not Do
- Copy, clone, reprogramme or tamper with a tag, or make a tag that pretends to be one of ours.
- Try to get into parts of a Portal, or another person’s account, that you are not meant to.
- Post anything unlawful, abusive or misleading where a Portal lets you post.
- Disrupt the service, or use automated tools to scrape it.
If you see any of this happening, report it.
Content
Each Portal’s content belongs to the brand that made it. The DEPARTMNT, TapTech, Portal and Core names and marks belong to DEPARTMNT.
Availability
We work to keep Portals available, but we can’t promise they will never be interrupted. We may suspend a Portal or an account that breaks these terms.
Our Responsibility to You
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. Beyond those rights, our liability is limited.

Changes and Law
We may update these terms, and we’ll show the date of the latest version here. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
